Report reveals how Arsenal beat Juventus to Kiwior

Juventus held a longstanding interest in Jakob Kiwior and the Bianconeri regularly win the talent race in Serie A.

However, Arsenal have reportedly beaten them to get the man from Spezia as the Pole heads to the Premier League instead of the Allianz Stadium.

A report on Tuttujove has now revealed what went on behind the scenes that caused the bianconeri to miss out on adding the World Cup star to their squad.

It reveals that the Bianconeri had a keen interest in the 22-year-old, but the Black and Whites were only willing to pay a maximum of €12m for the defender, who did not meet Spezia’s assessment.

Arsenal agreed to pay at least €20m plus add-ons, which did the trick.

Juve FC says

At 22 years old and having played in the World Cup, Kiwior’s market value is at least €20m, considering how bloated the players are now.

If Juve want to source the best talent on the market while competing with the best clubs, they must be willing to spend money, even if it seems too expensive.

We have other goals on our wish list, but we must be willing to spend if we want to win the race for any of them.
