Report – Juventus rejects an offer for Next Gen midfielder

Juventus are one of the better clubs to have had a very quiet January transfer window, but clubs are circling some of their players on deadline day.

Max Allegri’s men have remained inactive in terms of entry despite losing Weston McKennie, who joins Leeds United on a loan-to-own deal.

However, some of their players are still coming under fire and the black and white have rejected a move for a young Next Gen.

A report on Tuttomercatoweb reveals that the Bianconeri have turned down Rapid Vienna’s offer for Nikola Sekulov.

The Bianconeri turned him down as they believe he is a key player for their Next Gen team and should stay with the team.

Juve FC says

Our first team needs to feed off the side of the next generation of talent and if we keep sending the youngsters away, we won’t have graduates on the senior team.

Also, the Next Gen team needs most of its players to continue to thrive and Sekulov might not have been guaranteed regular playing time had he moved away from Turin.

In the next-generation side, he is emerging as a key player, which will help his development and prepare him earlier for first-team opportunities.
