Report: Juventus join long queue for young Portugal defender Antonio Silva

When Juventus played Benfica in the Champions League doubleheaders, several of their players displayed their prowess en route to home and away victories.

The list includes midfielder Enzo Fernández, striker Goncalo Ramos and, of course, teenage defender Antonio Silva, who even scored against the Old Lady.

According to A Bola via ilbianconero, Juventus is one of the clubs interested in the 19-year-old center-back who currently plays in Portugal’s squad for the 2022 World Cup.

The source identifies the Bianconeri and Napoli as the last two clubs to enter the fight for the youngster’s services.

However, the report claims that there is already a long line of suitors looking to pounce on Benfica’s revelation.

The list includes Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United, as well as Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

Silva is a youth product of the Lisbon-based club who rose through their ranks to become a regular starter in Roger Schmidt’s first team.

Nonetheless, Benfica have done well to guard against the inevitable attack, tying the player to a long-term contract that expires in 2027.

So whoever wants to win the race for the teen sensation must spend a lot of cash to beat the stiff competition and convince the Eagles to part with one of their most prized assets.
