Real Madrid is interested in completing the transfer of Son Heung-min from Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League. The South Korea international has established himself among the most talented attackers in Europe since he joined Tottenham Hotspur from Bayer Leverkusen in the 2015 summer transfer window.

He has made 344 appearances (in all competitions) for Tottenham Hotspur so far, registering 136 goals and 76 assists. Son was the joint top scorer in the Premier League last season and was also included in the PFA Premier League Team of the Season 2020-21. He also won the 2020 FIFA Puskas Award for his brilliant solo goal against Burnely in December 2020.

According to Defensa Central (via Sportskeeda), Real Madrid are looking for Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-min in the FIFA World Cup.

The 30-year-old attacker is currently fulfilling his international commitments with South Korea in Qatar. He has played a key role in qualifying the Taegeuk Warriors for the round of 16 tournament.

He has played three games in this FIFA World Cup so far, contributing one goal. Son Heung-min will lead South Korea against Brazil in a round of 16 tie at Stadium 974 on December 6.

Real Madrid is in the transfer market to sign a new attacker. Karim Benzema will turn 35 at the end of this month and will not be able to lead the white attack for long. Eden Hazard and Mariano Díaz have also struggled to consolidate their place in the first team.

Son Heung-min, the captain of South Korea, said that waiting for the result of the Ghana vs. Uruguay match was the longest six minutes of his life.

He said: “It was the longest six minutes of my life, but in the circle, we were really positive. I said: if Uruguay scores one more goal, I am very proud of this team and very happy that you gave it your all and we will see what happens.”
