According to the Telegraph, Liverpool are exploring the possibility of signing Matheus Nunes at the end of the season. The Portuguese international was also linked with a move to Merseyside before his switch to Wolverhampton Wanderers from Benfica last summer.

Nunes joined the central England outfit for a transfer fee of £38 million. However, he has had a hard time fully adjusting at Molineux Stadium. The Portuguese international has played 16 games (in all competitions) for Wolves so far, recording one assist.

Much of their troubles could be attributed to the change in management at Molineux Stadium. Wolves have appointed Julen Lopetegui as their new manager after sacking Bruno Lage in November. However, Nunes is a talented player and could prove to be a decent signing for the Reds.
