Real Madrid have been targetting €70m Tottenham star since last summer

Real Madrid will look for a replacement for Marco Asensio next summer and one option is Tottenham’s Son Heung-min.

The South Korean footballer is admired by the LaLiga giants and has been in their sights since last summer, reports Todofichajes.

The report claims that Real Madrid already contacted his agent last summer, simply to discuss his move to the Bernabeu, and the South Korean star’s response is said to have been positive.

Marco Asensio does not have a contract with Real next summer and has not yet renewed with a new contract, so if he leaves, the Madrid club could try to get Son to replace him.

Son is one of the best players in the Premier League and has often been linked with a move away from Tottenham.

The South Korean star has played 344 caps for the London club and has contributed 136 goals and 76 assists since joining in 2015.

If Real Madrid were to move for the 30-year-old, it could cost them around 70 million euros, according to the report, although that will be negotiable if the player wants to leave the Premier League side.
