Real Madrid, Chelsea and PSG Leading Endrick Transfer Race

Real Madrid, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are in a three-horse race for Brazilian prodigy Endrick.

Born in Taguatinga, Brazil, Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa, or better known as Endrick, began his football journey at the Palmeiras academy at the age of 11.

Then, over the next five years, the Brazilian striker scored 165 goals in 169 appearances for Palmeiras’ youth teams. Endrick made his breakthrough earlier this year when he led Palmeiras to the 2022 Copa Sao Paulo de Futebol Junior tournament.

On the way to the championship, Endrick scored seven goals in seven matches and was also named player of the tournament. The 16-year-old made his Serie A debut early last month. He later became the second youngest player to score a goal in the Brazilian Serie-A after scoring twice against Athletico Paranaense.

With his recent promotion, 16-year-old Endrick is currently regarded as one of the most talented youngsters in the world. The striker is currently being monitored by all the big teams in the world.

And now, according to a report by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are the main candidates in the Brazilian prodigy’s transfer race.

Over the last decade, Real Madrid have unearthed quite a few Brazilian talents. Players like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Eder Militao are currently the most important players on the Whites’ squad.

Now, once again, they want to tap into a familiar market to secure another superstar. Real Madrid has sufficient financial backing to complete the transfer. They have identified Endrick as the long-term replacement for their talismanic striker Karim Benzema.

Meanwhile, since the Todd Boehly takeover, Chelsea have shown an interest in spending money on talented youngsters. They are one of the main candidates for Endrick and will be looking to secure the Brazilian as soon as possible.

For its part, Paris Saint-Germain is the third name on the list. The Parisians already have a star-studded team. But that doesn’t stop them from spending money on talented young people. And now they are doing their best to sign the talented Brazilian striker from Palmeiras.

Endrick currently has a release clause worth €60m. The striker will be able to play in Europe when he turns 18 in 2024. And according to reports, neither club has been able to reach any kind of breakthrough in negotiations with the striker.

One thing is for sure though, Endrick’s transfer war will be intense.
