Barcelona news: Raphinha has revealed the advice that Neymar gave him to join the Catalan team.
Raphinha signed for Barcelona in the summer transfer window, signing a five-year contract with the Spanish outfit. He leaves Leeds United after two seasons at the club, in which he made 67 appearances and scored 17 goals for the club.
The Brazilian had also attracted interest from Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur but it was Barcelona who snapped up his services.
Raphinha has explained his decision to sign for Barcelona, revealing that the dream and the desire to play for Barcelona were stronger than other proposals.

Raphinha has now revealed that Neymar told him that he would not regret joining FC Barcelona. The 25-year-old also revealed that Ronaldinho congratulated him on his move to the La Liga giants.
“Ronaldinho congratulated me, through my father. I spoke a lot with Neymar. He told me that if he came here, he would not regret it. He is right,” Raphinha told La Vanguardia.
Both Neymar and Ronaldinho are former Barcelona players. Ronaldinho spent five seasons at Barcelona, between 2003 and 2008. He played 207 games for Barcelona during his time at the club and scored 94 goals. Ronaldinho then left for AC Milan in the summer of 2008.
Meanwhile, Neymar signed for Barcelona in 2013. During his time with the Spanish club, Neymar made 186 appearances and scored an impressive 105 goals. Neymar was part of the famous MSN trio (Messi-Suárez-Neymar) during his time at Barcelona.
After four seasons with the Catalan team, Neymar left Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record transfer fee of €222 million in 2017. Since then, Neymar has been playing for PSG.
Meanwhile, Raphinha made his debut for Barcelona in the first game of the 22/23 La Liga season. He made it to Barcelona’s starting eleven when they and Rayo Vallecano drew goalless.
So far he has played five games for Barcelona and has scored a goal for the team. Meanwhile, Barcelona have had a great start to the season and sit top of the La Liga points table. They have 13 points in five games, having played one game more than Real Madrid, who are second with 12 points.
