Pundit says Klopp ‘might walk’ at LFC and discusses potential replacement

Darren Bent believes that Liverpool will not sack Jurgen Klopp, but has rather bizarrely claimed that the German tactician could leave Anfield if the struggles he and his team are currently experiencing continue.

The Reds are already out of the FA and League Cups and sit ninth in the Premier League table, ten points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, albeit one game behind the Red Devils.

The Anfield side have a Champions League round of 16 tie with Real Madrid on the horizon in a competition that seems their only real hope of winning the title this season.

“I don’t think they’re going to fire him,” Bent told talkSPORT (via HITC). But it may walk. I can’t imagine getting fired.”

Klopp has ensured that the glory days have returned to Liverpool having won every major trophie since joining the club in 2015.

When he replaced Brendan Rodgers, we were fighting to qualify for the Champions League and we were a mid-table team.

It’s hard to imagine anyone else at the helm other than Normal One, but Bent discussed who could replace the 55-year-old if he were to end up on Merseyside before his current contract expires in 2026 while also weighing in on the top four hopes of the Reds.

“I don’t think (Liverpool owners) will turn to José (Mourinho),” he continued. “Tomas Tuchel? Maybe. But not Jose.

“The battle (for Liverpool) is trying to get into the top four. Am I ruling them out completely? Absolutely not. Because, once they get their players back, they still have a chance.”

There’s no denying that the situation we find ourselves in right now is far from ideal and our performance this quarter has simply not been good enough, but that doesn’t mean Klopp isn’t the right man for the job. .

We have been extremely unlucky with injuries all season, but with Virgil van Dijk, Bobby Firmino and Diogo Jota returning to training in the coming weeks, the hope is that we can have a good second half of the campaign.
