Lionel Messi: PSG have not yet sent Messi a contract extension

After joining the French club, Lionel Messi did not have an ideal start with the Ligue 1 giants. The Argentine scored just six goals in 26 games, which is obviously not even average by his high standards. He provided fourteen assists in the league that can be considered good. Despite PSG’s league victory, it was not a very good campaign for the Argentine.

However, as Messi has always done throughout his career, he found his form again and started the current season very well. The Argentine striker has already scored five goals and provided eight assists for PSG. And in doing so he has shown that he can succeed under any conditions.

Lionel Messi signed a two-year contract with PSG last season. So he’s now entered the final year of his contract and he’s got about nine months left.

Earlier, The Sun reported that Messi wants to think about his contract situation at the moment only after the world cup.

PSG have also not officially offered any new contract to the Argentine superstar. But it has been understood that they want to stay with Messi and they will do so soon.
