Neymar news: The PSG superstar has named Lionel Messi the best player he has ever seen play.
Neymar and Messi were teammates at Barcelona after the Brazilian joined the Catalan side in 2013. The pair played together for the Spanish side for four seasons before Neymar left the club for PSG in 2017.
Messi and Neymar were part of the famous MSN trio (Messi-Suarez-Neymar) during the Brazilian’s time in Barcelona.
He and Messi became teammates again and remain so after the Argentine reunited with Neymar when he joined PSG in the summer of 2021.

The 30-year-old Brazilian international has now lavished praise on Messi, naming him the best player he has ever seen play. Neymar also described the experience of playing with Messi as ‘unique’.
“Playing alongside Leo was a unique experience and we became friends,” Neymar told DAZN. “Of those I’ve seen play, Messi is the best in history.”
Meanwhile, Neymar was also asked to describe Messi in one word. The PSG superstar called Messi a “genius”. She also used the same adjective to describe Cristiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, PSG, Neymar and Messi have had a great start to the 2022/23 season. PSG are unbeaten in the 22/23 campaign so far and sit top of the Ligue 1 table.
PSG started their season by beating Nantes 4-0 in the Trophée des Champions final. They then began their defense of the Ligue 1 title by inflicting a heavy 5–0 defeat at Clermont Foot.
PSG then recorded a 5-2 win over Montpellier before securing their biggest win of the season so far, against LOSC Lille. The Parisians rioted against Lille and achieved a 7-1 victory.
Their perfect start to the season came to an end when they shared points with AS Monaco after a 1-1 draw. PSG have won all three games they have played since Ligue 1.
PSG also kicked off their 22/23 Champions League campaign by defeating Italian giants Juventus 2-1 in the group stage.
Meanwhile, Neymar has been impressive for PSG and has already scored 10 goals in nine games for the team this season. Of those, eight of them have been scored in the French top flight. He has also provided seven assists.
Messi, for his part, has scored four goals and provided seven assists. Three of those goals and all of those assists came in Ligue 1.
