PSG reveals interest in Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford

PSG have shown interest in signing Marcus Rashford next summer. The Manchester United star is considered among the most talented attackers of his generation. He has been a key player on the Red Devils team since he debuted in 2015.

Rashford has made 218 Premier League appearances so far. He scored 63 goals and provided 34 assists. He helped the Red Devils win a Europa League title, an EFL Cup, an FA Community Shield and an FA Cup. The England international has twice won the Premier League Player of the Month award and was also named to the UEFA Europa League 2019-20 Team of the Season.

Paris Saint-Germain CEO Al Khelaifi has confirmed that they are interested in signing Marcus Rashford on a deal with Bosman in next summer’s transfer window.

Speaking to Sky, he said: “It’s unbelievable – to have Rashford for free, all the clubs will be running after him. We don’t hide it, we’ve talked before. Maybe [this] summer? Why not. If he’s a free agent, we can talk to him directly, but not right now.”

Rashford is in the final year of his current contract at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are interested in extending his contract, but have not reached an agreement with him yet.

He could leave Old Trafford on a Bosman deal at the end of the current season. In addition to PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also in the race to get his services.

According to a Daily Mail report, Manchester United slapped down an asking price of £80m to sell Rashford in January. It is highly unlikely that any club will match the rating it is given, it could be available for free next summer.

Meanwhile, Rashford has been in brilliant form for England at this ongoing FIFA World Cup. He has scored three goals in four appearances for the Three Lions so far.
