Premier League star being investigated by the police after allegedly smashing his car through roadblocks

Police are investigating Everton star Andros Townsend after he allegedly broke through barricades while cursing and yelling: “I need to get to my fucking house!”

According to the report, the Premier League player crashed into a ‘manned asphalt spreader’ after being told he couldn’t drive home because the street was being repaved.

Staff were shocked after the football player refused to wait or park his Range Rover 5 minutes from his home and instead ran into the barrier hitting the ‘eight-wheeled tarmac machine’ on the way.

According to The Sun’s sources, police are investigating the matter and the former Crystal Palace winger could be charged with “dangerous driving”.

The source said:

“No one could believe their eyes. Andros, who was calmly commenting on our screens days before, was furious. The red mist descended.

“The contractors were paving the road less than five minutes from his property. It was an unfortunate moment when he stopped at a road barrier. The asphalt was very hot and it was placed in front of him.

“It was impossible to drive a vehicle on the road. The workers explained that he could wait or park and complete the short walk to his house.

“But Andros wasn’t having that. He yelled, ‘I need to get to my fucking house.’ And with that he tore down the barrier, stopping traffic, and drove on the side of the pavement in an attempt to dodge the roadworks.

“But he was traveling at high speed and his car hit an asphalt pad. It was driven by a worker, who was left in a state of total shock.”

There were no reports of injuries, according to police, who added: “The driver of the car has been identified and spoken to, and investigations are ongoing.”
