Positive development for Juventus as investigation judge rejects prosecutor’s request –

In recent months, we have been forced to report news that is not directly related to the essence of football, but rather related to investigations into alleged legal and financial irregularities by the club.

But luckily, some positive news for Juventus emerged recently as the club apparently won a round in what has already been a long and grueling legal battle.

According to Tuttosport via Calciomercato, the Turin investigating judge Ludovico Morello has rejected the requests of the prosecutor’s office asking for severe sanctions against Juventus.

The source explains that the judge made his decision taking into account three elements:

First of all, capital gains registration is standard practice among football clubs, and the Bianconeri had no criminal intent in this regard.

Secondly, Juventus as a club has a clean record and is perfectly integrated into the economic and social fabric.

Finally, deferring salaries from one financial year to another was a temporary maneuver related to Covid-19, since the pandemic had brought unforeseen economic problems that threatened clubs to their foundations.

So while this important breakthrough should surely be viewed in a positive light, we must remember that the road ahead remains long and bumpy.
