Portugal to present FIFA evidence over Ronaldo goal

The Portuguese Federation will reportedly submit evidence to FIFA to prove that Cristiano Ronaldo scored his team’s first goal against Uruguay, not Bruno Fernandes.

It seems that Portugal are keen for Ronaldo to receive this goal, as it initially looked as if the 37-year-old received the slightest headbutt before he came on.

Looking back, however, FIFA finally gave the goal to Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, whose cross seemed to have gone deep.

What the verdict will be remains to be seen, but it’s clear Ronaldo wants the goal, and reports are also surfacing that he texted Piers Morgan to insist he got the finishing touch.

This seems pretty typical behavior for Ronaldo, with the former Manchester United striker desperate for individual glory every step of the way in this World Cup.
