Pep Guardiola got his team back and sent a message to their Premier League rivals after their victory on Saturday night.
Manchester City fought back at St. James’ Park on Saturday when they scored a late goal to secure a 3-2 win against Newcastle.
It looked like it could be another routine victory for the treble winners when an incredible backheel from Bernardo Silva put them a goal ahead.
But two goals in two minutes from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon shocked the defending champions as they trailed at half-time.
Returning Kevin de Bruyne then led his team to victory off the bench when he scored and set up Oscar Bobb with a spectacular late pass to seal the 3-2 victory.

After the match, Guardiola praised his team’s performance and stated that “the team is alive.”
“The way we behaved against Huddersfield – Huddersfield – the team is alive. Why shouldn’t we try again? We won three times in a row, five of the last six, so why not?” Said the Spanish manager.
“It’s really important because Liverpool have been flying for the last month and we have to go to Anfield, so it’s better to be close to them.”
City will now set their sights on the FA Cup with a fourth-round tie against Tottenham later this month.
