Paul Robinson furious with treatment of Leeds United loanee

Sky Sports pundit Paul Robinson is unhappy with the way Leeds loanee Charlie Cresswell is being treated at Milwall.

The 19-year-old began his loan spell with the Championship club in style, scoring twice on his debut, but has lately been an unused substitute under Gary Rowett.

Robinson believes that Cresswell is good enough to play in the Championship and if he is not going to play he should return to Elland Road in January.

“There’s no point in him being out on loan if he’s not going to play,” Robinson told MOT Leeds News.

“The idea of sending a player who is outside the first team on loan is for him to play a few games. And to the detriment of the player, he is now not playing.

“If a club is going to take a player like that on loan, the agreement has to be that they play him.

“If he’s not playing, it’s no good for anyone and he’s better off training with a quality team at Leeds than Millwall.

“Cresswell is definitely good enough to play in the Championship.” Robinson finished.
