Paul Pogba: Juventus fans are better than Manchester United supporters – Man United News And Transfer News

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has said he feels the love of Juventus fans more than anywhere else, including his former club in England.

Pogba joined The Old Lady from United in the summer as a free agent after failing to agree terms of the extension with the Red Devils.

The French midfielder, speaking to GQ, praised the Juve fans, saying their love for him motivated his efforts to join them in Italy’s top flight.

He told GQ: “When I left they were very grateful for the years together. I was young and they really always pushed me into the stadium, they were always behind me.

“I always felt the love of these fans, this is the truth.”

“I’ve never heard one that good, not even in Manchester.”

The 29-year-old also revealed that during his tenure at Old Trafford, he kept in touch with Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri.

He called his special relationship with the Italian handsome and honest.

Greeting Allegri, Pogba commented that his current coach was constantly putting pressure on him and trying to help the player become the best possible version of himself.

In a frank admission, the former United man said his move to the 20-time English champions did not go as planned, something he attributed to injury.

Since his successful return to the £94.5m Theater of Dreams, Pogba has struggled with injuries and fitness issues. As a consequence, he was sidelined for up to 100 games.

Something that has been extrapolated to his current second stage in Turin. The world champions are yet to play a competitive game with Juve after missing the start of the season to undergo knee surgery.
