Juventus have received praise for promoting exciting young talents into their first team over the past two seasons, and Max Allegri is credited with this change in approach. In his initial spell at the club, Allegri had a reputation for being hesitant to trust young players with significant playing time. Consequently, Juventus was not perceived as an attractive destination for emerging talents during that period.
However, this trend has seen a notable change over the past two seasons, with Allegri actively grooming and giving opportunities to several promising youngsters. Despite this, journalist Paolo De Paola is skeptical about the long-term development of these young players under Allegri.
De Paola maintains that Allegri is still inclined to favor more experienced players and, over time, believes young talent can find challenges to thrive at the club.
He said, quoted by Tuttomercatoweb:
“They are kids who have not yet seen their recklessness affected by the coach’s faith, but Allegri has plenty of time to destroy them too. I don’t think he really believes in this turning point, in important matches the space is always reserved for them.”
Juve FC says
Now we have very good young people in our squad and they need to continue playing, especially in important games.
This is the surest way to develop them and turn them into world-class players.
