Owen Hargreaves believes that Jude Bellingham would be the ideal midfield signing for Manchester United.
The English pundit praised Bellingham’s performance on Tuesday night in the Champions League.
The 19-year-old scored in Borussia Dortmund’s 3-0 victory over Copenhagen.
Bellingham was heavily scouted by United and came close to moving to Old Trafford before eventually leaving for Germany.
The teenager is one of the most complete midfielders at his age and has the potential to dominate for years to come.
Hargreaves went on to say:
“He can go wherever he wants. Now you see the French youngsters who went to Real Madrid, that’s where they all want to go: Real Madrid or Barcelona because they all want to play attacking football”.
“This child is unique.”
“Everyone is going to want it, Chelsea, Man United, Liverpool.”
“He has to decide. To turn a club like Manchester United around and bring it back to the top, I think he could carry that load.”
“I think the young man, he’s not a defensive midfielder or a 10. He’s only between an eight.”
“He’s smart, his passing weight is good.”
“His greatest attribute is his mentality. He loves football, he cares, he has broad shoulders, he is the perfect midfielder”.
