One aspect of LFC’s defeat of Newcastle will ‘worry’ Klopp, says Carragher

Although Liverpool picked up a huge three points against Newcastle at St. James’ Park yesterday, there are still things that will ‘worry’ Jurgen Klopp according to Jamie Carragher.

Goals from Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo helped the Reds complete a double over Eddie Howe’s side this season after winning the reverse game 2-1 at Anfield in August.

The match was by no means an easy one, however, as 10-man Newcastle battled to the finish, forcing Alisson Becker to make numerous world-class saves to keep his team’s net clean.

“Alisson has been the best Liverpool player. Klopp will be looking at this and there are still things that will worry him,” Carragher said in a commentary to Sky Sports (The Boot Room).

We certainly understand where the former Reds defender is coming from, but after witnessing what Klopp did to our number 1 after the match, the German didn’t seem too concerned.

It was a vital win for us and it cuts the gap between us and fourth-placed Newcastle to just six points and we still have a game to play.

Our defense has been far from waterproof this season, but we have now kept consecutive clean sheets in the league for the first time since October, something we certainly think will delight the former Borussia Dortmund manager rather than worry him!
