Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech has been linked with a move to Newcastle United. Ziyech has struggled to establish himself in the Blues squad since he joined from Ajax in the winter 2020 transfer window.
He has played 51 games for the London outfit so far, registering six goals and six assists. The 29-year-old winger helped Chelsea win a UEFA Champions League trophy, a UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup.
Hakim Ziyech has started just one game in the league this season. The former Ajax star could leave Stamford Bridge for regular playing time during the January window.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Newcastle United could make an approach to sign Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech during the January window.

Speaking to Soccer News, he said: “After this World Cup… I hope other Premier League teams will try Chelsea, on loan terms. Newcastle, for example, which is aiming for a place in the Champions League.
“So it just depends on what the player wants, a rental period or a permanent contract. I think Ziyech is going for the latter variant, so the question is which club can offer him the best project.”
The Moroccan international’s current contract at Stamford Bridge will run until 2025. AC Milan and Ajax have also shown interest in signing him in recent months.
Ziyech has enjoyed a good 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign with Morocco, which has increased his chances of earning a move to a top club. The 29-year-old forward has played six games in Qatar so far, registering one goal and one assist.
The Blues reach an agreement to sign Christopher Nkunku
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have reached a full deal to sign RB Leipzig attacker Christopher Nkunku. The French international will officially join the London side next summer. Chelsea will pay £63m to secure his services. A host of top European clubs also showed interest in signing him, but the Blues moved quicker to secure his services.

Nkunku has been in excellent form this season. He has scored 12 goals in 15 Bundesliga games so far. The 25-year-old attacker was part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in France. However, he missed the event with a knee ligament injury.
