Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenburg confirms that Newcastle have signed free agent Loris Karius.
The announcement has reportedly been delayed due to Her Majesty’s sudden passing, but could be announced as early as tonight.
The 29-year-old will join the Tyneside club following the injury of Karl Darlow, who is expected to spend time on the sidelines.

Loris Karius is expected to back Nick Pope for the season after Martin Dubravka’s loan departure to Manchester United on deadline day.
The German goalkeeper was released by Liverpool this summer after exhausting his contract at the Merseyside club.
