On a rare day, neither before nor after the match, Liverpool released their new third kit for 2022/23, as attention turned to the Champions League trip to Napoli.
Liverpool presents its third kit
With the campaign now six games old, Nike’s new third kit was officially unveiled on Monday, which had actually already been leaked, rather awkwardly, by an ASOS model back in June.

The official colorway is a mix of “dark atomic teal” and “river teal” in an all-over pattern, with “mermaid red” for the cuffs and logos.
Fabinho, Darwin Núñez and Luis Díaz took center stage for the opening, filmed in the city’s iconic Olympia stadium.
The new Liverpool third kit will go on sale next Monday 12th September and will be available for purchase here. Pre-orders are now open.
Two doubts for Napoli?
Liverpool are not the only team facing injury problems at this early stage of the season, although their problems improve as the days go by.
Thiago is due to return to training this week, while both Joel Matip and Diogo Jota returned to the pitch in Saturday’s draw at Everton and Fabio Carvalho is not expected to face a long run.
Next up is a trip to Napoli to open the Champions League campaign, with the Italian side having confirmed two new health issues.
Hirving Lozano was stretchered off with a head injury during the weekend’s 2-1 win at Lazio and “worked individually” on Monday, while striker Víctor Osimhen also “trained alone” due to a knock, reported the club.
