NBC Premier League Fan Fest in Orlando adds Alan Shearer

Legendary striker Alan Shearer will be featured at the upcoming NBC Premier League Fan Fest in Orlando. The former Newcastle striker joins the regular squad of Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe and Tim Howard. Shearer issued a statement proclaiming his enthusiasm for the festivities.

“Premier League Mornings live fanfests are always a great opportunity to meet passionate soccer fans in the US and witness the love they have for their clubs and the game,” said Shearer. “This will be the sixth Fan Fest I have attended and it is great to see how much the event has grown since it started in 2018.”

“We start the weekend with Liverpool v. Chelsea and we end with Arsenal v. Manchester United, so it’s going to be an exciting weekend for Premier League football. I hope many fans will register for this free event, come watch the live stream, and participate in the family activities.”

Shearer still holds the record for most Premier League goals with 260. He has been a regular pundit on the BBC since retiring from the sport.

Gary Cahill also included in the lineup

Gary Cahill will also join the Newcastle legend. Cahill played most of his career in England’s top flight and was a mainstay in two different titles with Chelsea. The defender also collected Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup trophies with the Blues.

“I’ve heard glowing things about the Premier League Mornings live fanfests and I can’t wait to be a part of the weekend,” Cahill said. “Orlando is going to be an amazing location for Fan Fest, so it’s great that football fans will be able to watch Premier League action against the backdrop of Universal CityWalk.”

Shearer Joins NBC’s Ultimate Fan Festival
