Multiple Multinations success for Ireland

There were multiple Multinations successes to celebrate for Team Ireland to celebrate over the weekend.

The Irish fighter won two gold medals, a bronze medal and two trophies, one for the most competitive match and one for the best female boxer at the Mustafa Hajrulahović Memorial International Boxing Tournament in Sarajevo.

The tournament was organized by the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and concluded on Saturday night.

54kg Jennifer Lehane of DCU Boxing Club comes home with a silver trophy and Best Female Boxer after her fight. 57kg Adam Hession, from Monivea BC comes home with the bronze after his fight against Jousef Ibrahim Iashas (JOR).

Team Ireland golds came via 51kg Sean Mari from Monkstown, Dublin, who claimed victory over Hungary’s Jakub Slominski in his final, and 63.5kg Dean Clancy from Sean McDermott BC – McDermott also took the trophy. most competitive fight in the tournament.
