Moises Caicedo’s agents ‘active’ as Liverpool given another reason to invest in January

Liverpool were not deserved underdogs in their 2-1 loss to Brighton, although the same could certainly be said of the hosts had they succumbed to a late FA Cup fourth round exit.

Despite producing a strong performance in the first half of the action, it eventually became clear that Jurgen Klopp’s substitutions did his side no favours, raising questions about the strength of the team ahead of the window’s close. January transfer.

Ben Jacobs tweeted that agents for Moises Caicedo, a player the Anfield-based outfit have been linked with, “remain active” on a potential departure, although it seems an unlikely signing for the Reds as things currently stand.

We know that £75m should test the Seagulls’ resolve, although something closer to £100m would be a better match in terms of midfielder valuation.

Liverpool simply aren’t going to have as much of a buzz in the market at this point in the season and all indications are that the current squad will remain unchanged until the summer.
