MLS commentators on MLS Season Pass: Feb. 25 and 26

It’s a new season for Major League Soccer, and it’s one that brings major change to the top men’s soccer league in the United States.

Apple and Major League Soccer begin the first of what is a 10-year agreement for the service. There are still select games on TV, but this starts a streak of the vast majority exclusive to MLS Season Pass, the streaming service.

This weekend, all the games are available for free. Take it as an opportunity to see what the MLS season pass coverage is like. You will have the opportunity to broadcast all 14 MLS games scheduled this weekend. Starting the following weekend, however, you have to pay for the MLS Season Pass, which costs $14.99 per month or $99 per year.

First week of MLS action

The first week of the 2023 MLS campaign brings some interesting matchups. LAFC, fresh from winning its first MLS Cup last season, is involved in the biggest game of the weekend. They face El Tráfico’s rival, the LA Galaxy, but this is a special occasion for the derby. The game is at the historic Rose Bowl in Los Angeles and could set an MLS attendance record.

The team that LAFC defeated in that MLS Cup final, Philadelphia, raises its Eastern Conference Championship banner against Columbus.

Then, we see the debut of the 29 team in Major League Soccer on Saturday. St. Louis CITY SC is on the road for its first game. Q2 Stadium plays host as Austin FC, runner-up to LAFC in the Western Conference last season, looks to provide a not-so-warm welcome to MLS’s newest team.

This is also the debut of the MLS Season Pass commentator pairs. While these are flexible and can change, MLS is designing the pairs for the foreseeable future.
