Milner reveals all on his ‘donkey’ spat with a childish Lionel Messi

James Milner had some very unexpected ‘meat’ with Lionel Messi when the pair met during Liverpool’s famous Champions League tie with Barcelona in 2019 and our number 7 revealed all that went down.

Speaking to Ben Foster for Amazon Prime Video, the 36-year-old revealed how his approach to the Argentinian legend resulted in him being called a “donkey” (in Spanish) and that he only tried to hurt the diminutive genius because he freaked out our second captain.

The whole story is certainly worth watching and despite the Leeds-born veteran being highly complimentary of his opponent, the former Watford goalkeeper was quick to call out the PSG attacker for being childish.
