AC Milan have become the latest club to show interest in Nicolo Zaniolo as Juventus continue to monitor his contract negotiations with AS Roma.
The attacker’s contract expires in 2024 and he has been in talks with his current employers about an extension, but has not yet moved forward.
This has opened the door for another club to add him to their squad and it was suggested that Juve would buy him as Paulo Dybala’s replacement in the summer.
That never happened, but they’ve maintained an interest in their firm so far, which could move forward in the coming weeks.
A report on Tuttomercatoweb reveals that AC Milan manager Paolo Maldini likes the Azzurri star and wants to add him to the Rossoneri team.
However, Roma will only let him leave for a huge fee, with the report revealing that it will cost at least €50m.
Juve FC says
Zanioli is a great talent who has proven his worth in Serie A and the attacker will do us a job if we add him to our squad.
However, the price is too high and will likely cause our board of directors to turn their attention to another player who can fill the same role.
Milan will also have trouble adding him to their squad if Roma don’t reduce the asking price for his signing.
