Michael Owen criticizes new Spurs signing Richarlison for being sidelined several times during the clash with Sporting.
The Brazilian had a goal disallowed for offside and was caught offside three more times during the match.
“I can’t stand people running offside all the time, I can’t stand it. – Owen told BT Sport.
“I think it’s so amateur really. You should never be miles away from offside. If you lose time in a race, that’s fine, you’re out of the game, but you know what, there are certain players, and Richarlison is one, that are out of the game all the time, all the time.
“If someone is going to hit a ball, you have to make sure you are on this side of the defender. This isn’t like bad luck, ‘ooh, he just did it wrong’ or anything like that, it’s every time she’s with him.
“He’s a very good player, but he could definitely go over that side of things.” Owen finished.
