Messi is already wearing Argentina shirt with three stars

Lionel Messi and his teammates received new jerseys shortly after the 2022 World Cup final ended. German sportswear company Adidas supplied the Argentine team with updated jerseys with an extra star once they won the tournament. The three stars on the team crest signify their third World Cup win.

While Messi and company were quick to update their jerseys, fans will need to be patient to receive theirs. However, a video surfaced on Twitter showing the new jerseys of three stars in production. According to Footy Headlines, the video could have been taken inside the company’s factory in Argentina. Adidas reportedly makes the 2022 team jerseys in Argentina and Vietnam.

New Argentina jersey with three stars first to go to home nation

Argentine journalist Mauro Albornoz that the updated jerseys will be available to the public on December 26. However, this is only for people within Argentina. Obviously supply will also be an issue. Adidas will surely sell out the three-star jerseys pretty quickly because there will only be a limited supply available for now.

Here in America, Americans will have to wait until spring to get their hands on the new jerseys. World Soccer Shop currently has Messi jerseys with the Argentina number 10 on their website. However, the jerseys are obviously on backorder at the moment. The company claims that the Argentina jerseys with three stars will not be available to buy until around April 2023.

Messi Argentina shirts have been a fashion product

Earlier, reports surfaced that Adidas ran out of Messi Argentina jerseys during the World Cup. Even before the final, soccer fans were flocking to stores to buy a Messi jersey. The superstar who collects the previously elusive trophy will only increase the demands for the jersey. This is even more the case as Adidas adds the third star to the team crest.
