In today’s Liverpool news roundup, the Reds agree to a sale and another defender is linked as the transfer window progresses.
The center back is linked again
Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo has once again been linked with Liverpool by local media in the south of France.
Regional newspaper Nice Matin, among others, named the Reds as candidates to sign the centre-back.
Reports described Liverpool as “courtier” but signing in January would cost around £51m. Journalist William Humberset added: “He is happy on the Côte d’Azur.”
However, the report adds that “Todibo is very close to his team-mate” in France, Ibrahima Konate, which could give Liverpool an advantage over other clubs.
It is not the first time Liverpool have been touted as a candidate for Todibo, with rumors also spreading in the summer when the Reds inquired about his team-mate Khephren Thuram.
We would suggest that this move is unlikely to happen, especially for more than £50m, unless he is rated particularly highly by Liverpool’s recruitment team.

He keeps dreaming if you think Liverpool will pay for RB Leipzig sporting director Rouven Schroder saying Fabio Carvalho “didn’t want to face the competition”. It is not a good sign that Newcastle have been described as “caught” when it comes to their spending, which could open the door for Liverpool to inquire about players. Bruno Guimaraes could be a good option, right?

The Championship game is broadcast on Sky Sports Football and is a good opportunity to watch loanee Tyler Morton and possibly Fabio Carvalho.
Hull’s rivals Norwich could also soon be on Liverpool’s radar as, if they beat Bristol Rovers, they will travel to Anfield for the fourth round of the FA Cup.
