Brewster fought fifteen years as a professional boxer, achieving a respectable record of 35-6 (30 KOs). During his career he earned victories over the likes of Andrew Golota, Luan Krasniqi Kali Meehan, and in 2004 he captured the WBO heavyweight title with a fifth-round TKO victory over boxing Hall of Famer Wladimir. Klitschko. Brewster ended his career in 2011 due to an eye injury.

Although he retired from boxing as a fighter, he did not retire from boxing. Brewster has used his boxing knowledge not only to train young fighters, but also to mentor young men in life. In 2015, he and his lovely wife Juana founded www.brewsters.place, a charity offering positive solutions to foster sustainable living in the global community through mentoring using the principles of boxing.
