Manchester United have defeated Everton to return to the top of the WSL.
The first half started and United were above Everton. The first chance came in the first five minutes, but Parris was caught offside.
Toone had the first real chance, but he went over the bar.
The breakthrough came after just 13 minutes. Galton headed the ball to Parris, who put it in the bottom left corner.
Everton had the occasional attacking charge and George’s shot from a tight angle was well stopped by Earps.
Galton was knocking on the door and forced a save from the Everton goalkeeper.
After half an hour, Everton again launched an attack and it was Earps to United’s rescue as he saved them from sneaking into the bottom corner.
The Reds hoped to put some distance between themselves and the Toffees before halftime, but when Toone passed to Parris, the flag was raised for offside.
The second half started and Galton knocked on goal again with a powerful shot from outside the area that went slightly wide.
But moments later, Galton found the bottom corner with a shot from inside the box. Hayley Ladd claimed the assistance.
Parris could have increased United’s tally, but was again caught offside.
However, Hayley Ladd, who was having a great game, added to the score line when Garcia passed the ball to her and she smashed it into the top left corner.
Russo, returning from injury, came on as a substitute and had a chance almost from his first shot, but it was high and wide.
Everton were not without second-half chances, but Earps showed why they are number one in England.
