Manchester United are currently conducting an internal investigation in regards to the entire Mason Greenwood episode and have so far refused to divulge anything about the way forward.
The academy youngster is waiting to see if United will reinstate him to the squad this season after charges of attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behavior were dropped last month.
And now The Sun has reported that the England team has taken a position regarding young United representing the Three Lions in the future.
Southgate and England take a stand
“Mason Greenwood will never again be selected for England by Gareth Southgate, The Sun understands, even though the striker has turned down a move to Jamaica.”
Jamaica remains interested in acquiring their services with the 21-year-old who qualifies to represent Jamaica on his mother’s side, and the rules state that he could be eligible to play them in September.

Jamaica Football Federation boss Dennis Chung said: “He is only 21 so he has a very bright future ahead of him and I think he will add value to any team he is in.”
However, the player still dreams of playing for England.
A source told The Sun: “He is clinging to the hope of playing at the highest level again.
“But Southgate places a lot of importance on not just a player’s talent, but also how the team fits together.”
Greenwood’s future is still up in the air
The striker made his debut for The Three Lions in 2020 against Iceland. There was a lot of controversy surrounding Greenwood and Manchester City star Phil Foden after the match.
The two were reported to have smuggled two women into the team hotel in violation of Covid rules and management decided to send them back home.
Greenwood has not played for his country since.
There have been reports that United could slowly bring him back and many measures are being planned, while the player himself is said to be open to a move in a bid to resurrect his career.
