The King’s New Year honors have been revealed and Manchester United goalkeeper Mary Earps caps off a fantastic 2023 by receiving an MBE.

She was one of three Lionesses recognized in the honors list alongside Lauren Hemp, who also receives an MBE, and Millie Bright, who received an OBE.

The recognition comes after the English women continued their Euro triumph by reaching the World Cup final, where they were defeated by Spain.

It is the latest in a long list of individual awards Earps has received, the most recent being crowned Sports Personality of the Year by the BBC.

The Earps were also applauded for taking on sporting giants Nike and winning, after they initially refused to produce replica goalkeeper jerseys at the World Cup.

At club level, Earps helped United finish second in the League, securing them the Champions League for the first time.

Earps won the Gold Glove after keeping a record of 14 clean sheets.

He went on to win the Gold Glove at the World Cup.

Earps also received an honorary doctorate from Loughborough University before the winter break for his services to football.

Last year, her England teammates Leah Williamson, Lucy Bronze, Beth Mead and the now retired Ellen White were recognized in the honors list.

Meanwhile, there is much speculation circulating about Earps’ future at United.

He is believed to head to London when the January transfer window opens, with Arsenal his preferred destination.
