Manchester United goalkeeper Mary Earps appeared on the ITV quiz show ‘Beat The Chasers: Celebrity Special’ last night.
Earps played for the mental health charity CALM – Campaign Against Living Miserably.
Earps answered two questions correctly in the cash generator and chose to take on four hunters.
However, time ran out and the pursuers had 11 seconds left on the clock.
As it was for charity, the Earps took home £1000 anyway.
She had the audience in an uproar from the first question when she decided to go eeny, meeny, miny, moe when she didn’t know the answer.
Earps seemed nervous, but endeared herself to the audience with her sense of humor.
She performed well, but was clearly devastated not to beat the professional contestants she faced.
It is not his first television appearance of this nature having previously appeared in ‘A League Of Their Own’.
Yesterday, it was all but confirmed that Earps would not be joining Arsenal in this transfer window as they look to sign Sarah Bouhaddi on loan until the end of the season.
However, he points to a potential free transfer to the Gunners in the summer for the England number one, who has shown no interest in renewing his contract with United.
While his immediate future in football may be up in the air, Earps is showing that he has a knack for the small screen and may be thinking about his future beyond the sport.
