Marcus Rashford explains his brilliant opening goal against Nottingham Forest – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United won by three goals to nil against Nottingham Forest as the team returned to Premier League action for the first time after the World Cup break.

United put in a brilliant performance to overcome Steve Cooper’s men.

The Red Devils got their goals through Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Fred, who came on as a second-half substitute.

Rashford’s goal was the choice of the group of three.

The Englishman made a brilliant run during a corner routine and finished off a low cross from Christian Eriksen.

Rashford connected with the ball brilliantly and sent it past the Forest keeper to give United the lead.

Speaking after the game, in which he performed excellently, Rashford explained what happened behind the goal and confirmed that it was a goal worked on during training.

The 25-year-old said: “It was definitely one from boot camp!”

“They’re very man-on-man, so if we could switch them all up and create space, we could have a good scoring chance.”

Rashford added that he is currently enjoying his football, which translates to a stellar performance on the pitch. The United academy graduate has now scored in five successive games at Old Trafford for the first time in his career.

He added: “I’m enjoying doing what I’m doing right now.”

On what he wants to do in the future, Rashford commented that he wants to extend his scoring streak. The winger said that he wants to be in the box and be a constant threat throughout the game.

Rashford attributed the improvement to the coach’s football, saying that now the level at the club is higher, which in turn guarantees victories.
