Mancini hands Fagioli a first Italy call-up and Chiesa returns

Roberto Mancini has handed a first international call-up to Nicolo Fagioli and Fabio Miretti in his last team as he remembers Federico Chiesa after his return from long-term injury.

Fagioli did well on loan at Cremonese last season and has been in good form with Juventus in recent games.

The midfielder has scored two vital goals for the team in recent weeks and has done enough to earn a place in the squad.

In May, Mancini invited Fabio Miretti to a training camp in Covercianbut the young man did not play in the senior team.

This time he earned an invite according to a report from Calciomercato, who also revealed that Chiesa is returning to the team.

Juve FC says

It’s great to see most of our players invited to the Azzurri squad for their upcoming matches and we hope they have a good time in the group.

Miretti and Fagioli have been in good form in recent games and they deserve to be rewarded with the opportunity to play for their country.

Even if they don’t step onto the pitch for matches, this experience will motivate them to work harder to become regulars for their nation as well.
