Manchester United transfer news: Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has become a potential target for English Premier League club Manchester United after the discovery of an ‘exit clause’ in his contract.
Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé needs no introduction. Since his days in Monaco, he has always been at the center of transfer talks.
In 2017 it was PSG who overtook all other clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool and signed the youngster.
The following years saw Mbappé rise as one of the biggest stars in world football. Mbappé became the first teenager since the great Pelé to score at a World Cup when France lifted the trophy in 2018. Mbappé also continued his great form with PSG and won many trophies for them.
Manchester United Transfer News: Mbappé’s complicated contract situation
Since his childhood, Mbappé always dreamed of becoming a Los Blancos player at some point in his career.
In the winter window of last season, everything was going in that direction and Real Madrid were desperate to bring the French striker to the Santiago Bernabéu. However, PSG were in no mood to drop the youngster and rejected a Є220 million move.
It was then reported that the striker will sign for Real Madrid for free this summer, which never happened. Mbappé signed a gigantic contract renewal with PSG that will keep him in Paris until 2025.
However, as has always been the case with the French striker, there was still something left. French outlet L’Equipe first reported that the final twelve months of Mbappe’s contract are not guaranteed. Rather it will be a decision of Mbappé if he stays at PSG beyond 2024 or leaves.
So it is to be expected that a situation similar to last year will arise again next season. After being rejected by the French striker twice, this time Mbappé’s biggest fans, Real Madrid, will probably temper. Now that’s where United can try to get Mbappe out of the Park des Princes.
