Manchester United would be interested in signing Real Sociedad midfielder Martín Zubimendi.
According to a report by the Spanish publication AS (h/t daily mail), the 23-year-old midfielder is on Erik ten Hag’s radar and the Manchester United manager is looking to bring him in at the end of the season.
The midfielder has a release clause of around £51.4m and the Red Devils are willing to pay to sign him. However, they are not the only ones interested in securing his services.
Barcelona are also reportedly preparing a summer move for Zubimendi. They want him to be the long-term replacement for club legend Sergio Busquets.
It will be interesting to see where the 23-year-old ends up. Zubimendi can play both as a defensive midfielder and as a central midfielder and could be placed alongside Casemiro at Old Trafford if Manchester United sign him.
