Manchester United are reportedly keeping an eye on France U17 captain Mathis Amougou.
According to Peuple Vert, United regularly studies reports about the 16-year-old.
The club is looking to invest more in the youth academy, mainly by recruiting from abroad.
The AS Saint Etienne midfielder is considered one of the club’s most promising talents.
His contract runs until 2024, so a transfer is not expected to be imminent.
In an interview, Amougou explained his style of play:
“I’m a midfielder, I can be a catcher or a flag bearer, it varies. I run a lot, I have a good volume of play, I consider myself a coach”.
“I take information well; I know how to hit.
The teenager has all the attributes to become a future superstar. She went on to share her plans:
“I would like to have better statistics because it is important.”
“This is my goal in the coming months. I don’t have an example. However, several players like Kevin De Bruyne or Jude Bellingham inspire me”.
“I like his creativity, his passing quality and his vision of the game. They are impressive.
“I know that if all the ingredients are in place to get on and off the court, I should reach the highest level; There is no reason.”
“Football is a real sport. If you put everything in place to be successful, you will be successful. You have to be patient.”
