Manchester United could take advantage of Juventus situation and move for Federico Chiesa next summer – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United have made a lot of progress this season under Erik ten Hag and the club continues to compete on all four fronts.

Talk of a title charge flickered after some impressive results, but a couple of poor performances meant they fizzled out with many pointing to the team’s lack of depth as one of the main reasons.

The Dutch coach knows the importance of recruiting well next season if the club wants to take the next step in its evolution.

The United follows the situation of the Juventus

The Red Devils are following the situation surrounding Juventus with interest following their 15-point ban for orchestrating a three-season transfer scam.

The Turin-based club risks missing out on Champions League football and that could affect the club’s financial prospects and its ability to attract top talent and retain its big stars.

Rumors have already abounded that Dusan Vlahovic is among Ten Hag’s targets and now, Federico Chiesa’s name has also entered the fray.

It’s been a difficult period recently for the Italy international with Chiesa recently recovering from an ACL injury suffered last year.

But the 25-year-old finally opened his account for the season, scoring against Monza in the Coppa Italia. And that has started the rumor mill.

“The full-back seems to have finally returned to his level (ask Monza), and for next summer there could be a Manchester United onslaught,” says a Calcio Mercato report.

Chiesa could solve the problems of United’s right

The report also claims that Ten Hag is hell-bent on bringing United back to the top and that they won’t be scared off by his €100m price tag.

“The ‘Red Devils’ return to the top of the Premier League with ten Hag and, among their next targets, the former Fiorentina player cannot be ruled out. About 100 million euros could end up on the plate, Juve have already been warned.”

The Italian has also been linked with a move to Liverpool with Mohamed Salah’s future still uncertain.

Right wing is a position United have little choice in at the moment and Chiesa could definitely solve that problem. He has been a long-term target for United since his days at Fiorentina.
