Manchester United are currently looking to hire a specialist with the aim of finding the best replacement for David de Gea.
Recently, The Peoples Person reported that the current No. 1 has been promoted among Spanish clubs and his current contract expires next summer.
Jan Oblak is one of the names on the list of possible successors to the Spaniard, who will undoubtedly be evaluating his options.
According to ESPN, Man United are looking for a specialist to find De Gea’s replacement.
The club is looking to hire a recruitment analyst to help the club sign the best goalkeepers in the world.
This is part of the planned expansion of the scouting team at Old Trafford after being revamped over the summer. It was a summer full of departures, including Ralf Rangnick, who was originally going to stay on as an adviser in some capacity.
However, following the arrival of Erik ten Hag this quickly dissolved and most of the summer innings were due to the presence of the Dutchman.
De Gea has a contract until the end of the season with an option for one more year. Ten Hag recently revealed that the club will wait before deciding on the future of the stars without a contract.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer previously used Dean Henderson towards the end of the 20-21 season. It was clear that a decision had to be made on who would take the starting job next season.
However, as a result of illness and poor form, De Gea regained his clarity and featured in most league games.
The outlet confirms the job description for the new hire analyst and lays out what they will do.
“Contribute to the continued expansion and development of the Manchester United Football Club technical scouting team.
“For the specific purpose of identifying players who show potential to play for the first team”
“Analyze the game performance of potential scouting targets with a specific emphasis on goalkeepers.”
United have the options of De Gea, Martin Dubravka and Tom Heaton for the remainder of the season.
