Liverpool and Leeds wrap up Saturday’s Premier League action that started on USA Network. Coverage is also available in Spanish through Universo.
In Jesse Marsch’s case, Leeds United supporters will be desperate for improvements on the pitch after a disappointing loss last weekend against Fulham. Marsch can feel better knowing that last weekend Nottingham Forest defeated Liverpool FC. If Steve Cooper’s men can beat Liverpool, there is hope for Jesse Marsch’s side.
The game is scheduled at Anfield, so Leeds United will not have the advantage of playing in front of a raucous crowd at Elland Road in Yorkshire, England.
Liverpool-Leeds
In a rarity for the Premier League, Saturday’s game kicks off at 2:45pm ET. Why start a match so late in the UK, where kick-off time is 7:45pm ET on a Saturday night?
The reason for the late start is that Liverpool played in the UEFA Champions League in the middle of the week. So they need time to prepare for the game on Saturday. But Liverpool also play again in the middle of the week, against Napoli on Tuesday. So Saturday night is the best time to give Jurgen Klopp’s team a chance to prepare for Tuesday.
Unfortunately for Leeds United fans traveling by train, the last train out of Liverpool for Leeds leaves midway through the second half. So United supporters will have to find alternative ways to return to Yorkshire.
