Liverpool have reportedly approached the entourage of Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodríguez.
Arsenal have also been in the picture to sign the Argentine international, but All Transfers now suggest the Reds are getting ahead of their rivals for this potential €35m deal.
The report indicates that Liverpool are keen to get stronger in midfield, with Jurgen Klopp no longer planning to keep the loan signing of Arthur Melo.
Rodriguez is highly regarded after his excellent form in La Liga, and he certainly looks like he could fit in well at Liverpool.
However, this could be a blow to Arsenal as the Gunners also look a little short of depth in the middle of the park at the moment.

The Gunners rely too heavily on Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka in the middle, lacking much depth after the departures of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi over the summer.
Rodriguez, however, would surely prefer a move to Liverpool, which is more likely to offer Champions League football and a genuine chance to win major trophies.
