Liverpool have their hearts set on Jude Bellingham as their ideal midfield signing, although it doesn’t hurt to keep possible alternatives in mind.
Enzo Fernández, previously linked to the Reds by Melissa Reddy, is one of those options and Fabrizio Romano has reported in a tweet that the Argentine’s release clause is worth £102.9m.
The termination clause included in Enzo Fernández’s contract with Benfica amounts to 120 million euros. The Club has no intention of selling Enzo or letting him leave in January. ???????????? #transfers

With the England international said to be valued between £85.7 and £128.6m, it’s highly likely that the Benfica man will be available for a comparatively lesser fee.

Given how well Fernández is performing at the World Cup, it’s also becoming increasingly apparent that it wouldn’t necessarily be a gamble to throw such an outsized figure at the Portugal-based side.
In an ideal world, of course, we would manage to take Bellingham by summer, a prospect that is far from unrealistic despite the mounting opposition all around us.
There are a number of factors that will support a Liverpool move for the generational midfielder, chief among them, perhaps, Jurgen Klopp’s positive relations with his former employers.
