Liverpool ‘make contact’ with 20-year-old World Cup star

Liverpool are known to be on the market for a new midfielder and this year’s World Cup has given us the opportunity to monitor some cheaper alternatives to the main man who seems to be on the list: Jude Bellingham.

However, as 90min reported, we hope to have a new target: “Both Chelsea and Liverpool have contacted Musah’s representatives to register their interest in a transfer.”

Yunus Musah was part of the American team that reached the knockout round of the competition in Qatar and has raised his profile somewhat by starting all four games for the US.

It seems that we are certainly not the only club, nor the only Premier League side, that is interested in the 20-year-old who grew up in the Arsenal academy.

Playing as a center back and attacking midfielder, as well as being able to fill in as a winger in a forward line of three, the Valencian player has 16 games to his credit this season and he has two and a half years left on his current contract. – It could be a cheaper option to strengthen our options in midfield.

With the likes of James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain expected to leave the club this summer, it’s not just about getting a big signing – we need some squad players too.

Names like Yunus Musah and Sofyan Amrabat may not be the most attractive, but they may be just as necessary in the short term.
