Liverpool keen on €30m Gomes but Real Madrid ‘planning’ offer for him

Liverpool are said to have Joao Gomes in their sights ahead of the January transfer window, however judging by a reliable source the Reds seem unlikely to make a move so early in the season.

Based on tweets from ESPN’s Ekrem Konur and Martin Liberman, it appears Jurgen Klopp’s men are at risk of losing the 21-year-old to Real Madrid.

With the pair agreeing that Los Blancos are ‘planning’ to launch a €30m offer in favor of Flamengo, it remains to be seen whether the Merseysiders will be forced to make a decision as early as the winter window.

The interest in Aurelien Tchouameni, though fizzled out, has finally shown that our transfer ambition is still alive and well (if the £64m purchase of Darwin Nunez wasn’t demonstrative enough of that fact) and we’ll have to see that spirit is sustained. if Real Madrid make their intentions clear.
